Hey, look what we did today…
We bought an RV!!

That table slides out to double its current length, and the couch opens to a queen-size sofa bed.

They each have a top bunk, and the lower will be a hangout/lounge area for both.

This will be our new home for the next year! We already have a rental house for Boston, so after that trip, we’ll come back home to pick up our RV, and continue the rest of our journeys in it!
Of course, the next question is, why?
There were a couple things that prompted it. For one, it has turned out to be more difficult than we expected to find a rental for a whole month in our budget. At the same time we were searching through trying to find those, my neighbor gave me a tour of a new RV they had just bought for $4,000. It had built in bunks for the kids and was really great. We knew we wouldn’t be able to find one for that cheap, but it prompted us to start looking again at RVs at a lower price point. (From our previous searching, we thought we’d have to pay $60-80,000, which was WAY too much for us.)
So here we are, RV owners!
The greatest joke of it – which has prompted much laughter – is that I am now a pick-up truck girl!!! I never in my wildest dreams thought Chris would succeed in making that happen!
The RV and the pickup will be adventures in themselves! Too fun!

Wow! That’s quite a change from the original plan! Looks like a neat RV, though. Bradie and I are very impressed with the cool bunk beds and the tiny adorable kitchen island. ☺

We figured, why not go all out crazy! As for the island, that island and the open counter near it provide way more counter space than pretty much any other RV we looked at, which is part of why we bought it!
